Our registration starts at 2:00 p.m. If there are rooms available before this time, it may be possible to check in early depending on arrival time and availability, in which case we would be happy to oblige you. If you want to enjoy the day without a load with suitcases, you are more than welcome to leave your luggage at reception until your return or until your room is ready. Our reception is open 24 hours a day, so a reception agent will always be present.
From Schiphol Airport
Take bus 397 from the bus terminal to Amsterdam. Exit the bus on “Emmastraat”.
Once you are at Emmastraat tram stop, continue straight to the crossroads. Our hotel is situated on the corner of Cornelis Schuytstraat and De Lairessestraat. It’s only a 2 minute walk from the bus stop.
From Amsterdam Central Station
Take tram 2 (leaving from tram platform “B”) from the square in front of the train station and exit when you are at " Cornelis Schuytstraat" tram stop. Our hotel is situated on the corner of Cornelis Schuytstraat and De Lairessestraat. It’s only a 4 minute walk from the tram stop.
The trams in Amsterdam normally run from 07:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

Park & Ride (P+R) is the smartest and cheapest way for drivers to park their car and travel into Amsterdam’s city center. These car parks are located on the outskirts of the city near motorways and have excellent public transport connections. Public transport brings you right into the center of Amsterdam in no time. We unfortunately do not offer parking, however within a short distance (150m) there is a parking garage where you can park your car.
Parking at Hilton Apollolaan costs € 28 per 24 hours and is accessed by the ParkBee app. All you need to do is register your space through the site and you will receive confirmation via SMS or in the app. Click here to see further information.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a shuttle service. That said, Amsterdam's urban transport is fast and efficient.
Whether you pay for your reservation directly or not, a credit card is required to secure your reservation. The hotel may need to temporarily pre-authorize your credit card to secure your reservation, after which you can choose to pay with another card or in cash. Regardless of your preferred method of payment, your credit card details are required during the booking process.
If you have booked a non-refundable rate, payment is required immediately, in which case the hotel requires payment by credit card. In exceptional cases, bank transfers can also be accepted.
If you have booked a flexible rate and paid on arrival, we accept credit cards, bank cards and cash.
If a payment or pre-authorization is made by a third party when booking and / or the name of the credit card holder differs from the name of the booking person and / or guests, the hotel will probably ask for a scanned copy of the document. identity of the card holder as well as a signed authorization letter from the card holder with their agreement regarding the use of the credit card for the reservation.
If a third party wishes to pay the reservation on arrival, that's fine.
The tourist tax (toeristenbelasting) is a municipal tax for paid accommodation in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam city hall requires that each tourist pays 7% + EUR 3 per person per night of tourist tax on accommodation in order to improve the city and its facilities. If a room is booked for an unaccompanied teenager under the age of 18 years old, a permission letter is required by the parent or legal guardian, along with copy of identification of said parent or legal guardian, including a signature and contact information. The Alfred Hotel is a 100% non-smoking hotel. It is strictly forbidden to smoke anywhere within the hotel facilities, including the inner courtyard or outside your hotel room window. A fine of EUR 150 will be charged if we suspect or find our guests tampering with fire and safety equipment or if found smoking anywhere inside the hotel.
The Alfred Hotel is well equipped to accommodate the disabled. Our hotel is set up with a lift and we have many rooms located on the ground level, as well as washrooms equipped with grip bars. We strongly recommend our disabled guests to inform us of their requirements and restrictions prior to their arrival so that we can accommodate them accordingly.
Our continental buffet breakfast is served daily between 07:00 and 10:00 from Mondays to Fridays, and between 08:00 and 11:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
We serve a continental buffet breakfast offering a wide range of hot and cold options, including coffee, teas and fruit juices.
Check-out time can be as early as you need it to be and as late as 11:00. Our reception runs 24 hours, and therefore if you needed to leave you luggage behind in order to enjoy the day before your flight, you may absolutely do so with the Front Desk.
As our reception runs 24 hours and a Front Desk agent is always on duty, therefore you may settle and check out at your most suitable time.
Prices & conditions
Your credit card details are required to guarantee your booking up to your arrival at the hotel. Payment will be made at the hotel. If you cannot take up your booking, you need to cancel no later than 48 hours prior to your date of arrival. Please take into account that the date of arrival starts at 0.00 am (CET.). Bookings not cancelled 2 days before arrival will be billed at 100% penalty. In case of a no-show, the total price of the booking will be charged.
